Marisa Martin is an avid adventurist and travel blogger from California. When she's not jet-setting around the world, she's studying in Malibu to earn her law degree from Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law. Check out more information on her travels at her blog, The Traveling Storygirl. We asked Marisa a few questions about her travel experiences and philosophy.

1. What is your favorite travel destination?

My favorite travel destination is probably the Netherlands (although it's difficult to choose just one destination!) The country, despite being small, has so much to offer. I love wandering the quaint canals in Amsterdam and walking through the tulips in the springtime. Not to mention, the food is absolutely delicious! I always feel so comfortable in the Netherlands and travel there each time that I have the chance!

2. What are your favorite products to use while traveling?

My hair is long and always gets knotted and messed up when I'm traveling on planes or in the car. In order to prevent tangles and to smell fresh, I use one of Aussie's hair conditioning mists before and after I get off the plane. Not only does it help keep my hair shiny and de-tangled, it's like a type of perfume that stays with me and makes it feel like I haven't been traveling.

3. Where do you feel most comfortable in your skin?

I feel the most comfortable when I'm in Germany. I used to study in a little city in south Germany and whenever I'm there, I feel like I'm at home. Few things give me the comfort that I feel when I'm walking down those streets, enjoying the sights and smells of the city.

4. What is one of your favorite travel photos?

I have been a history buff for Ancient Egypt since I was a child and my biggest bucket list item was to go to Egypt myself. I had the opportunity to visit last year and was able to see the Sphinx and Great Pyramids in person. I love the picture I took there because I feel like an Egyptian princess amidst the thousands of years of history. Plus, who doesn't want to get a kiss from the Sphinx?

5. What powerful women do you consider an inspiration or role model?

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is an inspiration for me. As someone who is about to become a lawyer, I look up to her for her determination in the law and the progress that she has made for women's rights in the USA. Her dedication to helping women and minorities is inspirational and I hope that I can become half the lawyer that she is.
