Charly Gonzalve is a fierce female in every sense of the phrase! She's an avid traveler, business owner, and an inspiration to so many women who can learn from her adventures and life experiences. We asked Charly five questions to get a deeper look at what travel means to her.
1. What are three places that you have been dying to visit but haven’t been able to yet?
"I think when I started traveling, I may have had some places I was dying to visit but now I can’t say there’s any particular place I am dying to see because I would like to see every country at least once. I have been traveling a few times per year since 2012. Lately, I have been more focused on visiting more African countries. I would like to visit all the African countries within the next few years. So far I am at 18 African countries so I have quite a bit left."
2. What products are in your travel bag?
"My phone/external charger, toothbrush/toothpaste, some makeup, and of course my passport."
3. What is one piece of advice that you would want your fellow females to know?
"To just go see for yourself. There are more good people out there than there are bad ones. Believing that helps me not be afraid to travel by myself."
4. Why do you love to travel?
"As a child, I was very curious. Traveling helps bring some much-needed answers to all those questions I have. I learn so much about the world and about myself when I travel. I get to see first hand what some places are like instead of listening to other people's experiences or feelings about certain places. It’s also a great way to experience other cultures."
5. What’s your favorite meal that you’ve had and in what country?
"I am a foodie. I will eat almost anything that is presented to me. When I am done seeing more of the world, I think I will be in a better position to answer this question."
