OUR fOUNDING STORY
Shalini Vadhera is an inspiring Indian-American 3x serial entrepreneur who sparked her enchantment with beauty at a young age traveling across the world to visit family while growing up in California. At the age of 19, Shalini's father sent her to India with $1000 and told her to start her own business...and she's never looked back.Her rise from young jewelry and fashion entrepreneur to celebrity make-up artist, to the best-selling author of Passport To Beauty, to a favorite guest of The Doctors, The Today Show, and E! to an award-winning global beauty authority is nothing short of remarkable.
As the first South Asian to break into mainstream beauty, Shalini has over 20 years of creating and formulating her own brands that have sold in Sephora, QVC, HSN, Nordstrom, Dillards, Victoria's Secret, QVC UK, CVS, and Nykaa, Shalini is also the go to product formulator and brand creator for Hollywood studios and retailers like Paramount Studios (Baywatch Movie), TCM, Fab Fit Fun, as well as influencers and celebrities, Shalini has placed over $100M in product into retail and has been internationally recognized for her work in beauty.
Shalini is the recipient of The Mahatma Gandhi Award - UK House Of Lords, The Oprah Beauty O~ward, The Jewel Of India Award - Prime Minister’s Office and the founder of The Power Beauty Living, a platform for women which launched globally at the United Nations in 2016.Facing numerous challenges and a lack of resources as a female founder throughout her career, she built Ready Set Jet to use her platform to impact positive change and empower women globally with an understanding that confident women can change the world.
Co-Founder. Tony Potts is an American Emmy-winning television personality, producer, writer and media executive. In front of the camera as a presenter, Potts hosted USA Hollywood entertainment show Access Hollywood on NBC for 12-seasons from 1999 to 2011, before launching his own ideation company in the content, startup, investment and real estate space.
Now, Tony manages the creative content and strategic partnerships at RSJ, building the path to innovative collaborations and communicating the empowering message of the Ready Set Jet Brand.
