We love everything about LaShonda Renee, especially when it comes to her travel philosophy. As the Founder of Passports Matter she's turned a passion of travel into a shared vision of doing some good in the world.

"As I traveled more I started to bring my friends along. We all know good news travels fast, and what started off as small group trips of just myself and a few girlfriends, eventually grew into large group trips of extended friends. It became clear to me that my eagerness to travel was more than a hobby. Of course, I had a blast going to different clubs and restaurants, partying, and sight-seeing, but I wanted to do more as I traveled from country to country. As a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., an organization that promotes international awareness and involvement, it was only right to serve a purpose greater than myself as I traveled the world. I started to coordinate and get involved in community service projects wherever I was. Even if I could only go visit a local school for a few hours to read books or donate toiletries, I was giving someone hope. I was making someones day and I was having a positive impact. This is what inspired the Passports Matter Movement.

My best advice to others is to surround yourself with other people who are different than you. Go somewhere you've never been before. Watch the Travel Channel. Be diverse, be open-minded, and be selfless. I hope that you decide to 'Join the Movement' and really make your passport matter!"

Let's dive in and get to know our Fierce Female LaShonda Renee´ a little better:

1. What are three places that you have been dying to visit but haven't been able to yet?

I have been dying to get to the Maldives, Bora Bora, and Ibiza! I wanted to save Bora Bora for my honeymoon one day! Lol!

2. What products are in your travel bag?

In my carry on travel bag I will always have my makeup bag, aloe vera, antibacterial wipes, my Passports Matter water bottle because drinks in the airport are waaaay too expensive! My favorite pair of comfortable heels and a versatile dress to throw on, snacks of course, and assorted medications because traveling is hard on your immune system!

3. What is one piece of advice that you would want your fellow females to know?

Don’t be scared to travel! Travel helped me find myself and embrace other cultures. It can also help you find that special someone if you’re looking as well! I tell my friends all the time that there are a lot of men in the world, don’t constrict yourself to the guys in your area!

4. Why do you love to travel?

I love travel because I never get bored with it. Travel pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me build a brand. Passports Matter is all about traveling with purpose and has help me inspire others to travel.

5. What's your favorite meal that you've had and in what country?

I love Italy because I love Italian Eats! Pizza, pasta, are all my favorite! I also love really good wine as well.
